Butterfly Day

EmilyAnn, a local outdoor theatre/Veteran's Memorial/park holds an annual Butterfly Festival each spring in honor of their daughter, Emily Ann, who passed away in a car accident several years ago.  Butterflies were her favortie.  What a fantastic way to honor her memory and celebrate her life.

All the kiddos (and big kiddos too) can catch butterflies on slices of watermelon or cantaloupe, watch butterfly releases, learn about our local environment, catch some live entertainment, get their faces painted, etc.
This year was a little soggy thanks to some wonderful rain, but we had so much fun.

We never miss it!  If you are ever in or near Wimberley, please come!
