Zilker Park & Zilker Zephyr

Tatum loved the train so much at Landa Park in New Braunfels, so we took her to Zilker Park to ride the Zilker Zephyr. I'd have to say that I favor Landa Park a tiny bit more...

We spent some time on the playground while waiting for the train to arrive. Both of my "kids" had fun playing. :)

How do you like that cheesy smile?

At The Park

We frequently enjoy the local Methodist Church's playground. Well, probably more than frequently when the weather was nice this fall. The there are days like this:

Brrrrr....

Tatum and Henry

Tatum and Packy playing house on a warmer day:

Henry too!

This big girl goes down the slide all by herself!

But, as you can see, she's no quite ready for swinging solo.

Houdini

So, I go in to get Tatum after her nap, and this is how I find her:

So very cute and happy, but slightly disrobed.

The very next day, she went a little further....

Half naked!!
And so proud, may I add.

(At least she hasn't learned how to climb out of her crib.... YET!)

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween from Wimberley!
(I'm way late, I know)

Aren't we a good lookin' bunch?
A Longhorn clown, kitty cat, and country bumpkin

You can't see it well, but T's shirt says, "I'm so cute it's scary".
There's a big black cat on it, so we are calling it her "kitty costume". She DID pick out the shirt.

For the first time this year we went down to the Wimberley Square and trick-or-treated. All the shops stay open late and hand out candy. The ENTIRE town must have been there this year and I thought we went early to avoid the crowds! Tatum will enjoy it much more in the years to come, but it was entertaining for all of us to see all the costumes.

Here's Tatum and Packy saying hello. Packy was minus his giraffe head, but still oh-so-cute!

The beautiful Cypress Creek. It truly is beautiful because it's flowing again! :)

I find it so weird that I grew up only a few miles from Cypress Creek in northwest Houston, attended Cypress Creek High School, and now live in another city with a Cypress Creek.

On the way to the car we just had to document Tatum's very first Dum Dum lollipop!

Thanksgiving

I am so very thankful this year for my beautiful daughter who makes me laugh every day, my loving husband who is more patient than I will ever be, and all of my wonderful family and friends.

Speaking of laughter... check these out!

Tatumisms

Some of my favorite things coming from my sweet baby's lips these days:

Boo Ellen!
(When Ellen comes on stage at the beginning of her show)

Bye Bye Dada. Love You. See you.
(When Zach leaves for work. I assume the "see you" part comes from "see you soon"?)

Beep Beep Piper.
(Or beep beep anything else)

Nose!
(When she needs her nose wiped. She'll yell it from her crib in the morning before we come get her.)

Luh You!
(as in Love You!)

Tickle Papa?
(She's definitely having a Papa phase right now, much to my mom's dismay)

Piiiiiii-Puh, Jaaaaaaack-Jack, Iiiiiiink
(She calls from the dogs when we get home)

Diss? Diss?
(Kiss? Kiss?... as she walks from dog to dog looking for a smooch)

Music Together & Toddler Time

Tatum still loves her weekly Music Together class at the Community Center. Most Mondays we head straight for the library afterward to Toddler Time. Here are some pictures I snapped a few weeks ago.

Instruments are made to be explored by more than your hands and ears you know?

Here are Tatum (Tayum, as Packy calls her) and Paxton (Packy, as Tatum calls him) enjoying coloring with some crayons at the library.

The Fabulous Sugar Doll Blog Award

So I'm not quite sure how it happened, but I was given a blog award!

I hardly feel worthy being that most of my posts are primarily pictures of the bug. I don't share any wisdom, recipes, sewing projects, or deep inner-Amy thoughts.

My awesome blogger of a sister-in-law Jennifer, The South Dakota Cowgirl, bestowed the award upon me. (Maybe the unbearable cuteness of her niece had something to do with it??)

Thanks Jenn!! :)

As part of being chosen for the award, I’m supposed to share 10 fascinating things about myself. The blogger who gave Jennifer the award had her husband come up with her facts and I think that's a grand idea.

Meet Zach, my hubby of almost 5 years.

OK, it's closer to 4.5, but still...

He's a diligent, hard working sales rep for an orthopedic company in Austin AND such an absolutely amazing Dada to Tatum that it makes me cry. Bug and I are blessed to be the girls he loves.

(I just reminded him they have to be fascinating facts... not "can you believe how crazy she is facts"...he could have a little too much fun with this!)

Hello! I am excited to knock out these ten fascinating facts for my Famous Amos! (My Lovie)

10) Amy once had her wrist broken by a soccer ball. OUCH!! I have seen it on video and it isn't pretty!

9) When Amy was in high school she had a daily routine. Every morning after breakfast she would grab her back pack and head out to the garage. Once through the access door of the garage she would hit the garage door button, open the car door, place her back pack in the back seat of the car, and pull out. By placing the back pack in the back seat, it gave the door enough time to completely open before she backed out. Well, she claims that one day she didn't need a back pack. She finished eating breakfast, went out to the garage hit the button to open the car door, then proceeded to push her nice Jeep Grand Cherokee through her parent's garage door! Love you baby! ;-)

8) Six: the number of tattoos on Amy's body, three of which are very large! You would not think when you see this ex fifth grade teacher all dolled up that she is all tattooed up under those clothes. Whew!

7) Balanced. Amy does a great job of taking care of Tatum and keeps all the ducks in a row at the house as well as take care of everything bill related. Thank you Famous!

6) Attack mode! When Amy gets in one of those wild hair cute flirty attack moods it is so funny. Nothing is safe. It's an all out try and tickle me and throw things (water, pens, all of my nicely folded clean clothes on the ironing board and pretty much anything else you can think of) chase me, and pinch me.

5) Dance party! Well this one is not my favorite. She loves to lock me out of the car in crowded places and make me dance for five seconds before she will unlock the doors. I am sure it is especially a treat for everyone who is blessed enough to witness it. ;)

4) Eye lid flipping. If you have not ever seen this in real life it is a sight for sore eyes. Literally. I tried to do it several different times and just ended up giving myself a headache and sore eyeballs. She is so dreamy!

3) The love for Tatum. I love to watch Amy and our baby Tatum. Amy makes everything perfect for Tatum day in and day out. Anytime things start to go bad in the rough life of Ms. Tatum June it is only a Momma intervention that can make the world right again. Daddy tries so hard to make it right but just can't seen to make Tatum believe that the end is not coming!

2) Pizza Pizza Pizza! If Amy could eat pizza for every meal, it would most likely happen. Sunkist would be the liquid that chased it every day too!

1) Her heart! Amy, without question, has the biggest heart of anyone I have ever met. She loves every one and thing. I am no longer able to step on any bug. It must always be a catch and release mission. I think the only thing I am allowed to kill at this point in my life is those dang mosquitoes. Big Heart would be the two words that describe our Famous Amos the best, or should I say fascinating Amos! :-) Love you so much BEBE!

Pumpkin Patch

Wimberley has its very own Pumpkin Patch, which is open all October for picture taking and pumpkin buying.

They even scheduled a few events throughout the month such as a petting zoo, karaoke contest, festival, and costumed pet parade.

We didn't make it to much, except to take some pictures. We're gonna try to make it to more next year. Tatum will most likely be able to appreciate it more anyhow.
