Shake, Shake, Shake, Shake Your Booty!

She's got some moves, huh?

Life Lately

Oops! I never posted this a while back.

It's just some random pictures of what life for us here in Wimberley has been like lately...

Tatum loves her doggies!

Good job T, but maybe right side up next time??

I love how floppy she looks when she falls asleep in the car.
Too bad that usually means no nap!

"Singing" pups... Tatum has started to "sing" along too.

There's nothing like a little snack poolside after a good swim.
We'll miss the pool this winter!

Playing in the Rain

Thanks to the much needed rain lately, Tatum has become acquainted with the wet stuff from the sky. She even proclaims "raining!" when she sees it out the window now.

She loves it so much that she likes to stay in it, play in it, and relax in it, complete with an "ahhhh" when she leaned back int he chair.

Jumping is so much more fun in a puddle, don't you think??

Playnastics!

Tatum and I have spent many Friday mornings lately at J&R Gymnastics for their Playnastics. It's basically an open gym time for all kiddos 5 and under. She gets the run of the place and I have a blast watching her.

Tatum especially loves the trampolines!

Tatum is inspecting the stamp she got at the end of Playnastics. Most days she likes to try and eat it off her hand :)

The picture below shows how we both feel at the end!

Anna Maria Island, Florida: Part 3

Tatum made a new friend at the park one night. His name was Aiden and he was ADORABLE. He was in town with his family from Ohio.

Almost all my relatives live in Ohio. What a small world.

Excuse the fat pasty man in the background. She was just adorable carrying HEAVY buckets of water to us.

We made the birds VERY happy and Tatum had a blast chasing them screaming the whole time. Well, I think she was "chirping" like a bird, but it sure sounded like screaming to me. I'm surprised she didn't scare them all away.

These pretty flowers were growing all over the dunes.

I spent our last afternoon on the beach by myself while Tatum napped. Talk about relaxing. I think that's my new "happy place" when I need to mentally get away.

Zach and I loved watching the pelicans. They caught a fish (or many fish, I dunno) EVERY TIME we saw them dive into the water. Amazing. This was the best picture I could get of one.

I also love the sand pipers. They are so freaking funny when they run on those little stick legs.

On a ride on Longboat Key we saw these funny fellas as well as a whole bunch of peacocks. Below is a picture of an albino peacock... maybe? We knew they were peacocks, but I didn't know they came in white too. We saw lots of little baby ones with their mommas. So cute...

On our last night in town we ate at a yummy Italian restaurant called Oma's and then headed out to the beach for sunset. Tatum was WILD! It was the funniest thing ever. The whole scene was like something out of a movie. She was squealing, laughing, and running like a crazy woman.

It was THE PERFECT way to end the trip.

Another perfect baby on the flight home.

I think this picture sums up how we all felt when we got home.

Anna Maria Island, Florida: Part 2

Zach was only able to stay through the weekend, so we made the most of the time we had while he was there. It rained ALL DAY Saturday. Enough to flood the master bath in our house and require several big and noisy carpet drying fans for the duration of our trip.

Unfortunately this yucky weather did more than flood the island. It also caused us to miss a sunset boat ride to see dolphins and manatees and a fun jet ski trip for Z and me.

Tatum had some naked fun inside though... she loved the boogie board.

She lugged this stool around the whole house all day Saturday. Look at those chubby cheeks! :)

Although the waves were never rally big enough, Zach was still able to get some boogie boarding in before he left on Sunday.

From our beach entrance looking right...

and looking left. You can see that we practically had the beach to ourselves every day. We were there kinda inbetween their peak seasons, summer and winter (for all the winter Floridians).

Like a moth to a flame... Tatum sharing some ice cream with Gramma.

Ready for the pool!

Tatum and Gramma swam almost every afternoon in the pool at the house.

I think I had more fun putting her in all her adorable bathing suits than she did in the pool!

My favorite house in town. That blue with the white trim is GORGEOUS!

These little guys were EVERY WHERE. You'd walk outside and there would be about 10 of them scattering away under bushes and leaves. Some were 6 inches long and others were no more than an inch.

Tatum loved squawking at the birds and chasing them.

I could just eat her up in that bathing suit and hat!

Tatum and her "Pa Pa".

The best sunset we had on the trip.

We spent the evening playing and swinging at a local park after dinner.
